PAP-ee-yon

The Papillon is a Spaniel type breed. One of the oldest of the toy spaniels. The name is from the french word "butterfly" derived from the butterfly look of the  long hair on the ears.

This is a subjective choice that should be based on your families needs and activities. The Papillon is a "Companion" breed and needs to be a part of the family household. They travel well, are highly intelligent, and are generally very active.
